Recommended for in-home use every night. Place your hearing aids or cochlear devices in the drawer, press the start button, and Dry & Store does the rest. For the first few minutes, an ultraviolet lamp sanitizes the hearing aid by killing resident bacteria. Then for the next eight hours, Dry & Store gently circulates warm, dry air. Throughout the cycle, the desiccant serves to capture the moisture molecules as they are released from the hearing aids. Dry & Store has a built-in timer and will turn itself off after eight hours.

Germicidal Lamp for Global Unit

DS02
!
UV-C Germicidal Lamp
Replacement lamp for the Global model only.

Note: Your UV lamp should last several years before needing replacement. Please click on the image of the lamp at right for more information before ordering a replacement lamp. This will provide some troubleshooting tips to help you determine whether or not your lamp needs to be replaced (or if perhaps another issue is at the root of the problem.)

Before you order a replacement bulb for your unit, please allow us to make a few suggestions. There may possibly be another reason you feel the lamp needs replacing. Since the germicidal portion of the 8 hour conditioning cycle is only 3 minutes, your lamp should last for several years.

On your unit, does either the green light or blue light come on? If neither light is working it means that something other than the lamp is not working. If you don't see any lights, please contact us by email (support@auditoryscene.com) or by phone, (267) 262-3195. Please provide the serial number of your Global unit.

If you see a green light but no blue light, please check to make sure the lamp is positioned correctly. Have you tried removing it and re-inserting it? It twists into place just like a standard fluorescent bulb. Try that and let us know if you get a different result when you press the start button.

Please take a moment to try this suggestion and see if this helps.

If you're certain you need a lamp, and your Global is over one year old, then we'll be happy to ship you a replacement lamp at a cost of $9.50 plus shipping. In the meantime, you can go ahead and use your Dry & Store without the lamp. You'll have the benefit of warm, moving air, just not the sanitizing benefit. Thank you for using Dry & Store!

Dry Brik II Replacement Desiccant (3 Pack) - For Hearing Aids

DS05
!
Ear Technology Corp is now shipping the revolutionary Dry-Brik II. In development for over two years, the new desiccant product contains a more aggressive sorbent with much greater moisture-adsorbing capacity, packaged in an attractive, molded, disposable container.Dry-Brik II works with all Dry & Store models.
Dry-Brik II features a novel timer called Timestrip®. Once activated by the user, a thin red line lengthens each day, and when the timer window is completely red (2 months), the depleted Dry-Brik should be replaced with a newly-activated one. The Timestrip has been custom-designed for the temperature range of the Dry & Store product line, making color-changing cards and crystals unnecessary.

Metal Can Desiccant for Hearing Aids & Cochlear Implant Dryer

DS07
!
How to Recharge a Metal Can Desiccant (Global and Zephyr only)

Routine recharging is required. As moisture is absorbed by the desiccant, the indicator will change from blue to light pink, or from orange to pale, depending on the desiccant. A light pink or pale orange color signals that the desiccant can no longer absorb moisture. Proper function can be restored by placing the metal desiccant can in an oven for 2 hours or more at a temperature of 105¡-150¡C (225¡- 300¡F). The color will change back to blue or bright orange. Repeat as necessary.

The metal canister will be hot when it is removed from the oven, so caution should be used to avoid burns. Allow the can to cool before it is placed in Dry & Store. Best results will occur if the can is covered during the cooling period; a drinking glass or pan lid works well.

WARNING: Use care when removing the metal desiccant can from the oven. Allow it to cool before handling. Never place metal in a microwave oven!

The frequency of metal can desiccant recharging will vary according to several factors, such as season, geographic location, local climate/weather conditions, and the activity/perspiration level of the user.

Check the color of the desiccant crystals before each use, and recharge as needed. Do not operate Dry & Store without a properly positioned desiccant
